We invest time in community-building activities and local philanthropy, thereby contributing to the health, welfare and social well-being of our neighbours and our community partners. We support a host of charitable causes, often in concert with local retail partners and customers.
Our philanthropic endeavours touch the community at large, particularly in the realm of cancer research, conservation and children’s health.
Since 2005, we have partnered with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to focus on the fight against breast cancer. We are proud to be one of the Foundation’s top five national brand partners. Messages on our Cashmere®, Purex®, SpongeTowels® and Scotties®’ brands help raise awareness and fund research initiatives that improve the quality of life for Canadian women and families affected by breast cancer. Our annual White Cashmere Collection generates considerable public interest in this worthy cause.
For over a decade, we have helped send Easter Seal kids to summer camp by supporting Friends of We Care. And for over 20 years, our contributions to Ronald McDonald House Charities have assisted children with serious illnesses or
disabilities and their families to lead happier, healthier lives.
As the long-time sponsor of the Scotties®’Tournament of Hearts®, we are also supporting women’s curling. In 2011, Kruger Products will mark its 30th anniversary of sponsoring the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship. Our support for curling is the longest corporate sponsorship of amateur sports in Canada.
